Azerbaijan summons Russian Ambassador over media provocations

Azerbaijan has summoned the Russian Ambassador to Baku, Mikhail Yevdokimov, to lodge a formal protest against what it describes as provocative and threatening rhetoric in Russian media. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed serious concern over recent broadcasts on YouTube, Sputnik radio, and Spas TV that allegedly targeted the Azerbaijani people and government with insults and calls for physical violence.

In conjunction with these diplomatic actions, the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office has issued arrest warrants in absentia for three Russian nationals. The individuals identified are journalist Ivan Knyazev, political consultant Semyon Uralov, and Aleksey Chadayev, an advisor to the Russian Minister of Transport. They are accused of using media platforms to incite violence against Azerbaijan, call for the forced change of its constitutional order, and advocate for the fragmentation of its territorial integrity.
