Armed attacks reported in Mexico and Peru

Separate armed attacks have been reported in Mexico and Peru.

In the 10 de Abril neighborhood of Temixco, Mexico, a man and a woman were seriously injured after being intercepted by gunmen on 14 de Febrero Street. Local paramedics provided first aid before transporting the victims to a nearby hospital. Municipal and state police secured the scene, where several shell casings were recovered, but no suspects have been detained.

In the La Perla district of Callao, Peru, two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire on the Smart Hotel near La Marina Avenue. Approximately 15 shots were fired, with three projectiles hitting the building's infrastructure. No injuries were reported in this incident. Local residents noted that this marks the second attack on the hotel within a single week, following a previous shooting on a Thursday. National Police are reviewing surveillance footage to identify the perpetrators.
