Armed clash in Salihli, Turkey leaves 1 dead and 6 injured

An armed fight broke out between two rival groups in the Şehitler neighbourhood of Salihli district, Manisa Province, Turkey, on the evening of the incident. The dispute quickly escalated, and firearms, including rifles, were used. The shooting resulted in the death of 47‑year‑old Haydar Kaynak and injured six others, three of them seriously.

Police and medical teams responded to the scene after a bystander reported the incident. The victims were taken to Salihli State Hospital and local private clinics; the severely injured were transferred to Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital. Investigators later detained three suspects, identified as A.G. (51), S.G. (57) and H.G. (27), and the investigation remains ongoing.
