Armed Forces Medical Services announces recruitment for 120 Medical Officers

The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has released a notification for the recruitment of 120 Medical Officers under the Short Service Commission (SSC). The vacancies are distributed between 90 male and 30 female positions.

Eligible candidates must hold an MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI) and must have completed a compulsory rotating internship. Permanent registration with a State Medical Council, NMC, or MCI is mandatory. Applicants are also expected to have qualified or appeared for the NEET PG examination. Holders of recognized postgraduate degrees or diplomas are encouraged to apply.

The online application process is scheduled to begin on 9 November 2026, with a deadline of 18 November 2026. Interviews are tentatively planned for March 2026.
