Mother and children bound in violent home robbery in Maipú, Chile

During the early hours of Saturday, three armed men forced entry into a house on Avenida 5 de Abril in the Villa México sector, on the border of Maipú and Cerrillos. They restrained a mother and her two minor children, threatened them with pistols and stole valuables, including computers, musical instruments and the family car, estimated at about 20 million pesos. The victims reported that the intruders cut the home’s security cameras before fleeing. Police confirmed the use of firearms but said no one was injured and no shots were fired. Investigations continue to identify and arrest the perpetrators.

The incident has heightened concerns among local residents about safety, especially given the violent nature of the home invasion and the kidnapping of minors. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
