Armed robberies reported in Puebla and Santa Cruz

Separate violent robberies were reported in Mexico and Bolivia. In Xilotzingo, Puebla, an armed group targeted a Coppel department store. The assailants used hammers to smash display cases and stole dozens of high-end and mid-range mobile phones. The suspects fled on motorcycles after firing shots into the air to intimidate bystanders. Local police conducted a pursuit that resulted in the arrest of at least two suspects and the recovery of some stolen merchandise.

In Santa Cruz, Bolivia, a currency exchange worker was robbed near the San Antonio market. A hooded individual threatened the victim with a firearm and fired a shot at the ground to facilitate the theft of a bag containing money. The perpetrator and an accomplice on a motorcycle escaped the scene. Authorities are currently reviewing security footage to identify the suspects and investigating whether the incident is linked to a similar robbery that occurred last week on Piraí Avenue.
