Armed robbery targets pregnant dentist in San Pedro de Macorís

A pregnant dentist, Alexa García, reported a violent home invasion in San Pedro de Macorís during the early hours of Tuesday, October 20. According to the victim, several armed and hooded individuals wearing bulletproof vests, gloves, and communication radios entered her residence around 4:00 a.m.

García, who is six months pregnant, stated that the assailants tied up her and her husband while their 10-year-old daughter managed to lock herself in a bathroom. The dentist reported being gagged and forced onto the floor face down, an ordeal that caused bleeding and raised significant concerns for her pregnancy and the health of her unborn child.

The perpetrators stole items valued at over one million pesos, including cash, jewelry, personal belongings, vehicle keys, and residency documents for Brazil. The victim has called upon the National Police and investigative authorities to identify and apprehend those responsible.
