Armenia announces agricultural support and cycling race preparations

Armenia is implementing several domestic measures across the agricultural and cultural sectors. The government has approved a decision to provide budgetary guarantees to support the grape procurement process for 2026. These guarantees, covering up to 50% of the required amount for economic entities with insufficient collateral, aim to facilitate loans for agricultural raw material procurement.

In the sports and infrastructure sector, the first UCI Europe Tour international cycling race, the ‘Tour of Armenia’, is scheduled to take place from September 10 to 13. To ensure the safety and international standards of the event, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced temporary traffic restrictions on various highways and roads across several regions, including Gegharkunik, Tavush, and Lori.

Additionally, cultural discussions highlight the historical synthesis of ballet and painting, noting the influence of artists like Edgar Degas and Martiros Saryan, who contributed to stage and costume design in Armenian opera productions.
