Armenia faces political shifts and public health concerns

Armenia faces several critical political and social challenges. The current political agenda is expected to focus on sensitive issues, including the potential return of Tigranashen to Azerbaijan, proposed reforms regarding the Armenian Apostolic Church, the adoption of a new Constitution, and the possible withdrawal of the Russian 102nd military base from the country.

In Yerevan, environmental and public health concerns are rising. Activists are protesting the redevelopment of Aghi Lake, warning that the destruction of local reeds could lead to ecological disasters and water quality degradation. Meanwhile, citizens have expressed growing distrust in the safety of the municipal water supply following instances of discoloration and conflicting official reports regarding water quality and safety in the capital.
