CSTO Secretary General warns Armenia of potential sanctions

CSTO Secretary General Taalat Madamikov has stated that Article 25 of the organization's charter could be applied to Armenia. This measure relates to unpaid membership fees and Armenia's lack of participation in the organization's activities.

Armenia has effectively frozen its participation in CSTO operations, citing the organization's failure to respond to Azerbaijani military aggression against its sovereign territory. While Yerevan has expressed dissatisfaction with the CSTO's inaction during security crises, the organization is now addressing Armenia's non-compliance with membership obligations.
