Artsakh residents protest Armenian government over rights violations

The Council for the Protection of the Rights of Artsakh Residents has organized a protest in front of the Armenian government building. The demonstration comes ahead of the COP17 climate change conference.

Protesters are demanding that the government raise awareness regarding the violation of their rights by Baku. The protest features the slogan, “There is no protection of biodiversity without human rights and justice.”

Participants expressed frustration, stating that the issue of ethnic cleansing and the fundamental rights of Artsakh residents is being met with silence. They criticized the authorities for organizing international events that they claim attempt to obscure the current humanitarian and ecological crisis in the region.
