Armenia issues four treason convictions with sentences of 15-16 years

The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office has announced four convictions for treason under Article 418, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, occurring between 2025 and 2026.

In Gegharkunik, two separate individuals were sentenced to 15 years in prison. One of these sentences included the additional penalty of being stripped of their military rank.

A third individual was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Syunik Regional Court.

In Yerevan, a fourth individual received a 16-year prison sentence. This conviction also included the seizure of property valued at more than 20,000 USD.
