Armenian citizens call for legal action against Nikol Pashinyan

A group of social and political activists has issued an open letter to opposition members of the National Assembly, urging them to support legal proceedings against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The initiators, including Liana Martirosyan, Siranush Martirosyan, Sofia Hovsepyan, Hayk Movsisyan, and Ofelya Avagyan, seek to protect citizens' rights against what they describe as offensive, threatening, and intimidating public statements made by the Prime Minister.

The group highlighted that recent legislative changes have made accessing the courts prohibitively expensive and complex for ordinary citizens. They are requesting that opposition MPs, led by Aram Vardanyan, assist in drafting lawsuits and utilize public funds to cover legal costs. The activists argue that these barriers prevent citizens from defending their dignity against aggressive rhetoric and perceived political pressure.
