Armenia and Poland hold talks on trade and geopolitical cooperation

Armenia and Poland held political consultations between their respective foreign ministries to strengthen bilateral ties. Led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Vahan Kostanyan and Polish State Secretary Marcin Bosacki, the discussions focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation, encouraging mutual investment, and deepening collaboration in high technology, agriculture, defense, and education.

During the talks, the parties emphasized Armenia’s European agenda and discussed the potential of the TRIPP project as part of regional economic connectivity. The officials also touched upon the economic opportunities arising from the established peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Separately, discussions regarding the TRIPP project highlight its role as a geopolitical tool. Observers note that while the project lacks physical infrastructure, it serves as a strategic mechanism for creating land connections between Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Central Asia, potentially shifting regional logistics away from traditional Russian-led systems. The Syunik region remains a critical geographical node in these developments.
