Armidale New England Probus Club celebrates 30th anniversary

The Armidale New England Probus Club recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of providing social connection and mental stimulation for retired residents. With nearly 130 members, the club offers activities such as monthly coffee mornings, trivia, and organized outings to prevent social isolation among the elderly.

The anniversary celebrations included a cake-cutting ceremony attended by the Armidale Regional Council mayor and foundation members Lil Cowley, Bev Lilley, and Phil Sharpe. Additional gatherings were held in October to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Probus in Australia, drawing members from Coffs Harbour, Guyra, and Tenterfield. Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan was also in attendance.
