Armidale Regional Council completes $4.5M digital water meter rollout

Armidale Regional Council has completed a $4.5 million digital water meter rollout across more than 9,200 properties in Armidale and Guyra. The project aims to improve water management and support conservation during drought conditions.

The new system allows for remote meter reading and provides residents with real-time usage data via the ARC Water App. This visibility has already helped identify significant leaks; during the two-year installation period, 367 properties experienced leaks that added an estimated $364,680 to regional water bills, averaging approximately $994 per affected property.
