Armin Gigović discusses career and decision to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina
Armin Gigović, a midfielder for the Swiss club Young Boys, recently shared insights regarding his professional life and international career. Having played for the Bern-based club for over a year, Gigović noted that while the previous season was turbulent, the team has shown improvement, remaining undefeated in their first 11 league matches and reaching the cup quarterfinals.
Gigović, who was born and raised in Sweden, explained his decision to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina over the Swedish national team. He stated that while he played for Swedish youth and senior teams, he felt a lack of perspective for further development there. He noted that the decision became clear when he felt significant interest from the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, particularly during a period of transition under coach Sergej Barbarez.
