Armstrong Oko-Flex named Irish player of the season
Irish journalist Conor McEvoy has named Levski Sofia winger Armstrong Oko-Flex as the Irish player of the season for 2026/27 so far. The 24-year-old's recognition follows a standout performance in which he scored two goals during Levski's 6-0 victory over Spartak Varna.
Oko-Flex has become a key figure in Levski's European campaign, having scored in both matches against Borac. His contributions have helped the club reach the playoff qualifying round of the Champions League, following a 0-0 draw against AEK Athens.
Despite starting only three of the first five league matches due to squad rotations, the winger has already secured three goals in the Bulgarian league. McEvoy noted that after a difficult period in Switzerland, Oko-Flex's career trajectory has improved significantly since moving to Bulgaria, first with Botev Plovdiv and now with Levski Sofia.
