Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber launches IPE anniversary challenge
The Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce has launched ‘Discover Downtown—IPE Edition: Capture 125’, a free interactive window-display and photo-hunt challenge to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE).
Running from August 29 through September 6, the event features downtown businesses displaying themed windows inspired by photography, IPE history, and personal memories. Because photography is a featured competition division at this year’s fair, participating businesses have included a numbered vintage camera cutout in their displays. Participants can complete an official entry form by matching the cameras to the correct businesses and voting for their favorite displays via QR codes.
Winners will be announced on September 10. Participating businesses will compete for categories such as ‘Best Storytelling’, ‘Best IPE Spirit’, ‘Judges’ Favourite’, and ‘People’s Choice’. Participants have the chance to win local merchandise and Chamber Bucks.
