Army gynecologist Blaine McGraw pleads not guilty to sexual assault and recording charges

Major Blaine McGraw, an Army obstetrician-gynecologist, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday during a military arraignment at Fort Hood, Texas. McGraw faces nine charges and 273 specifications involving 93 alleged victims.

The allegations, which the Army states occurred between 2021 and 2026, include sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, indecent visual recording, and assault consummated by battery. Much of the alleged misconduct took place during medical exams at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.

During the hearing before Military Judge Colonel Jorge Rivera, discussions focused on whether the judge had been previously exposed to information regarding the case. McGraw remains in pretrial confinement as the case moves toward a general court martial. The defense and prosecution are expected to address trial procedures and scheduling in the coming weeks.
