O’Higgins striker Arnaldo Castillo has opened up about experiencing suicidal thoughts following intense harassment from fans. In interviews with ‘Jugada Nacional’, the Paraguayan-Chilean player revealed that during periods of poor performance, he and his family were subjected to verbal attacks on social media.
Castillo stated that the pressure and negative comments directed at his wife and children led to a significant mental health crisis. He credited his religious faith with helping him navigate this dark period, noting that a personal turning point occurred in 2024.
