ARNAS G. Brotzu hospital staff declare state of agitation

Labor unions CISL FP, FP CGIL, and FIALS have declared a state of agitation at the ARNAS G. Brotzu hospital in Cagliari. The unions cite a severe deterioration in industrial relations and organizational distress.

The dispute stems from a breakdown in dialogue with management and a stalemate in supplementary bargaining that has been frozen since May 2025. A primary point of contention is the failure to reach an agreement on Professionality Economic Differentials (DEP), which has resulted in the loss of 2025 annual payments for eligible staff, causing direct financial harm.

Additionally, the unions have accused management of attempting to restrict rights and prerogatives established by national collective agreements. They also challenged the hospital's media narrative regarding service improvements and new hires, claiming these reports do not reflect the daily reality of the facility.
