ARNAS Garibaldi Urology Unit presents robotic surgery research at ERUS26

The Urology Unit of ARNAS Garibaldi in Catania participated in the 23rd edition of the ERUS26 meeting, organized by the European Association of Urology's Robotic Urologic Section. The international event, focused on advanced robotic urological technologies and surgical techniques, was held in Padova from September 9 to 11.

Representing the unit, Dr. Trefiletti presented a scientific poster and two technical videos to the European urological community. The contributions focused on minimally invasive and robot-assisted renal surgery, including a comparison between 3D clamp-less laparoscopic enucleation of renal tumors and robotic partial nephrectomy.

Other presented works included the nephron-sparing robotic challenge 'Two Tumors, One Kidney, Zero Clamps' and a robot-assisted hemi-nephrectomy of the left lower pole. The participation highlights the unit's commitment to technological innovation and maintaining scientific exchange with European medical experts.
