Arnau Puigmal discusses move from Almería to Mallorca

Midfielder Arnau Puigmal has discussed his recent move from UD Almería to RCD Mallorca ahead of his upcoming reunion with his former club. Puigmal expressed deep gratitude toward Almería, noting it was the club that opened the doors to his professional career, but explained that his departure was driven by a desire for more consistent playing time as a starter.

Reflecting on Almería's recent relegation following their promotion playoff against Málaga, Puigmal described the defeat as being akin to “the death of a family member,” stating it is a situation one must learn to live with.

Regarding his transition to Mallorca, Puigmal noted that while his start has been hampered by muscle issues, he is satisfied with the reception from his new teammates and the club's potential for top-flight football. He also indicated that he would not celebrate a goal if he were to score against his former side.
