Arnaud Bodart nears transfer from Lille to Le Havre

Belgian goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart is nearing a move from LOSC Lille to Le Havre AC. The transfer is expected to be completed as a ‘medical joker’ following a serious injury to Le Havre’s primary goalkeeper, Lionel Mpasi, who suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during a recent match against Brest.

Bodart, 28, has struggled for playing time at Lille, where he had fallen to third in the goalkeeper hierarchy behind Berke Özer and Orlando Gill. The move to Le Havre would allow him to secure more regular playing minutes in Ligue 1. The transfer is contingent upon Bodart successfully passing a medical examination over the coming weekend.
