Arnaud De Lie withdraws from Renewi Tour due to illness
Cyclist Arnaud De Lie will not participate in the final stage of the Renewi Tour due to illness. His team, Lotto-Intermarché, announced that De Lie suffered from upper respiratory issues that worsened overnight, resulting in bronchitis.
De Lie will take several days of rest to recover and avoid jeopardizing his upcoming racing schedule. This withdrawal follows a difficult season for the sprinter, who has faced multiple health issues and DNFs in races including Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, Dwars door Vlaanderen, Paris-Roubaix, the Giro d’Italia, and the Tour de France.
De Lie is scheduled to join the Swiss team Tudor next season on a contract running through 2030, where he aims to revitalize his career.
