Arnavutköy: Group fight escalates into mosque courtyard

A fight between two groups broke out in the forested Hacımaşlı area of the Arnavutköy district in Istanbul. The confrontation escalated into stone-throwing, prompting a police response after reports from local residents.

Police officers struggled to separate the groups and eventually used pepper spray to control the situation. Despite the intervention, the conflict moved into a mosque courtyard. Security footage captured individuals climbing onto railings to continue throwing stones at the opposing group, with one stone striking a person in the head. The chaos also resulted in damage to tables and chairs in a tea garden located within the mosque courtyard. Police eventually brought the situation under control and detained the individuals involved.
