Arnavutköy Municipality's Yeni Medya Akademi wins IPRA award

The Yeni Medya Akademi, an initiative by the Arnavutköy Municipality, has received international recognition at the IPRA Golden World Awards 2026. The project was honored in the 'Next Generation Media and Effective Communication' category during a ceremony held in Athens, Greece.

Developed in collaboration with Ibn Haldun University and the Communication Platform, the academy provides free training to youth across 13 different disciplines. These include social media management, video editing, announcing, and photography. The program combines theoretical instruction from academics with practical experience in modern studios equipped with professional gear.

Serdar Kızıldağ, the municipality's Press and Public Relations Manager, accepted the award. The academy has reported graduating between 319 and 350 students over two terms, with many graduates securing employment or internships within the media sector.
