Arnavutköy truck accident leaves two drivers injured

Two drivers were injured in a two-vehicle accident on the Arnavutköy-Habipler road in Istanbul following heavy rainfall. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM when a truck driven by Mehmet Hanifi Göktepe lost control on the slippery road, struck barriers, and overturned.

A second vehicle, an excavation truck driven by Hakim Teski, subsequently collided with the overturned truck. Firefighters had to extract Göktepe from the wreckage. Both drivers were treated by medical teams at the scene before being transported to a hospital for treatment.

The accident caused significant traffic congestion on the route from Arnavutköy toward Habipler, as the overturned vehicles blocked a portion of the road. Police were deployed to manage traffic and ensure security in the area while efforts began to clear the wreckage.
