Arnhem launches new peer‑support group for anxiety and OCD sufferers
The Angst, Dwang en Fobie (ADF) foundation is offering a five‑session peer‑support group for people living with anxiety or obsessive‑compulsive symptoms in Arnhem. Meetings will take place on Wednesday evenings at Stichting 't Huukske Arnhem West (Mauritsstraat 22) on 9 September, 7 October, 4 November, 3 December and 6 January 2027, from 19:30 to 22:00.
Facilitated by trained experience‑experts, including Myra van Roon of ADF, the group provides a safe environment for sharing, mutual recognition and encouragement. Participation costs €50 (€25 for ADF members, €40 for online members) and may be partially reimbursed by health insurance. The initiative aims to reduce the isolation felt by the estimated 1.9 million Dutch residents who will experience anxiety or OCD symptoms in their lifetime.
