Eneco Tour cycling races conclude in Arnhem

The Eneco Tour, a combined men's and women's cycling event in the Netherlands, has progressed through its stages, with the final stages set to conclude in Arnhem. The event features a unique structure where both genders compete under the same name, following a merger of the former Simac Ladies Tour and the NIBC Tour of Holland.

In the early stages, Lieke Nooijen won the women's prologue in The Hague, while Jakob Söderqvist secured the men's prologue victory. Sandrine Tas of Lotto Intermarché later took the women's first road stage in Ede and assumed the overall lead. The men's competition also saw significant action in Ede, with stages designed to favor sprinters.

The final stages of the tour involve various distances, including a 70.1 km course for women and a 149.2 km course for men, both finishing on the Zijpendaalseweg in Arnhem. Local authorities have implemented road closures and parking restrictions around Park Sonsbeek to ensure athlete safety during the finale.
