In the New York Mets bullpen, Kodai Senga has successfully transitioned into a high-leverage relief role following Devin Williams being placed on the injured list with a shoulder strain. Senga has recorded seven saves in seven chances since August 1, maintaining a 2.03 ERA in his 14 relief appearances. While Senga has expressed a preference for returning to a starting role, Mets interim manager Andy Green praised his sacrifice and game awareness, specifically noting his ability to adjust his pitching strategy during recent appearances.

Other notable relief performances include Mason Miller, who has recorded 34 saves with a 1.17 ERA, and Josh Hader, who maintains a 0.89 ERA after recording 24 saves this season.
