Aron Dønnum mourns the death of his mother

Norwegian footballer Aron Dønnum has announced the passing of his mother, Jane Helen Skjennum Jacobsen, who died on August 16 at the age of 56.

Dønnum shared his grief on Instagram, describing his mother as his ‘hero’ and ‘safe haven.’ He noted that she was a constant support throughout his life and career, providing guidance through his successes and setbacks. The Toulouse player expressed that he is ‘crushed’ by the loss.

Jacobsen had previously spoken about Dønnum’s determined path to professional football, noting his early interest in sports and his goal-oriented nature. Dønnum recently became a father in June and expressed gratitude that his son, Gio, was able to meet his grandmother.
