Arpa Umbria and Postal Police sign cybersecurity agreement

The Postal Police Cyber Security Operations Center for Umbria and Arpa Umbria have signed a memorandum of understanding to prevent and combat cybercrime. The agreement aims to protect the agency's information systems and technological infrastructures.

The protocol establishes a framework for collaboration through the sharing and analysis of information to prevent and counter cyberattacks or damage. Key actions include the timely reporting of system vulnerabilities, the development of communication strategies for emergency situations, and the protection of sensitive data to ensure the continuity of essential services.

Officials noted that the increasing sophistication of cyber threats, driven in part by international instability and ongoing conflicts, has led to a rise in attacks against national institutions, financial entities, and strategic sectors. The collaboration seeks to optimize information flows to create more effective prevention and repression strategies.
