Arpaise hosts 30th Sagra della Castagna del Partenio

The 30th edition of the Sagra della Castagna del Partenio will take place in Arpaise on October 10 and 11. Organized by the Pro Loco Generoso Papa, the event celebrates the chestnut through various culinary offerings, including autumn pasta with white ragù, guanciale, and chestnuts, as well as meat stews and chestnut-based desserts.

The festivities begin on Saturday, October 10, at 20:00, featuring an aperitif, food stands, and local craftsmanship. The program includes a historical reenactment titled ‘La leggenda delle Janare’ and live music. Sunday lunch on October 11 requires prior reservation.
