Arraiá de Ipiabas promotes cultural tourism in Vale do Café
The Arraiá de Ipiabas event recently took place in the Ipiabas district of Barra do Piraí, aimed at strengthening cultural tourism in the Vale do Café region. Held from August 28 to 30, the festival featured free programming including music, gastronomy, and local crafts.
Key highlights included performances by Forró Dus Cabra and singer Vanessa da Mata, the latter of whom drew approximately 5,000 people to the square. The event was a collaborative effort involving the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism, the State Government of Rio de Janeiro, and the Ministry of Culture. In addition to musical acts, the festival integrated local students through school dance performances and supported regional commerce by featuring local producers and the Rural Producer Fair.
