Arrecifes, Argentina and Fene, Spain stage July festivities for national holidays

The municipality of Arrecifes in Argentina is preparing a two‑day program to mark the 9 July Independence Day anniversary. Activities begin on the night of 8 July with a folk concert, ballet performances and a charity ticket sale to support the local hospital. The following day includes a public square gathering, traditional chocolate with churros, a religious service, a parade of traditionalist groups and a horse‑riding show, ending with a community dance.

In the Galician town of Fene, Spain, the “Xullo, mes da patria” cultural month runs from early July through 9 July. The schedule features theatre shows, contemporary dance, concerts, a Habaneras festival, comedy monologues and a finale civic ceremony on 9 July with a reading of the institutional declaration and live music, celebrating Galicia’s Día da Patria.
