ARRI and MultiDyne introduce ST 2110 IP production solutions

ARRI and MultiDyne have announced new hardware and software solutions to integrate camera systems into SMPTE ST 2110 IP-based broadcast environments.

ARRI is introducing SMPTE ST 2110 support for the ALEXA 35 Live Multicam System via Software Update Package (SUP) 1.5.0. This update allows the system to operate within modern IP infrastructures, enabling the independent routing of uncompressed video, multichannel audio, and metadata over a 25GbE connection. The implementation supports interoperability with various broadcast ecosystems and includes AMWA NMOS support for automated discovery and connection management.

MultiDyne is set to introduce the SilverBack-IP at IBC2026. This fiber camera adapter is designed to connect broadcast cameras natively to ST 2110 IP production environments by transporting video, audio, intercom, and control signals over a single IP network connection. The adapter converts 12G-SDI camera outputs into ST 2110 streams, allowing operators to utilize existing Ethernet infrastructure instead of dedicated analog fiber runs.
