Arroba de los Montes hosts inaugural Pepe Ortega painting contest

The municipality of Arroba de los Montes held the first edition of the ‘Pepe Ortega’ Rapid Painting Contest on October 10. The event was organized by the local City Council to honor the memory of Pepe Ortega, an illustrious local artist whose work achieved international recognition.

Participants used various styles and techniques to capture the natural landscapes and surroundings of Arroba de los Montes. The competition included several categories, featuring provincial adult prizes ranging from 200 to 500 euros, local prizes, and a youth category for participants up to 16 years old. Mayor Rosa Gutiérrez expressed the intention to establish the contest as a recurring cultural landmark to attract artists and visitors to the town.
