Arrow McLaren extends engine partnership with Chevrolet

Arrow McLaren has announced a multiyear extension of its technical partnership with Chevrolet, securing the manufacturer as its exclusive engine provider. The agreement ensures continuity as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES transitions to a new technical era.

The partnership will carry the team through the 2028 introduction of the Dallara IR-28 chassis. This next-generation platform will feature a 2.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, an improved power-to-weight ratio, redesigned aerodynamic architecture, and enhanced safety systems.

Mclaren Racing CEO Zak Brown stated that the extension is vital to the team’s goal of winning both the INDYCAR championship and the Indy 500. Team Principal Tony Kanaan noted that the long-term alignment provides stability and allows for deeper collaboration between engineers during this period of significant technical change.
