Arrowhead CEO discusses Helldivers 2 impact of GTA VI launch

Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Shams Jorjani expressed relief regarding the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI, noting that its initial lack of a PC version and dedicated online mode may benefit Helldivers 2.

Speaking at Gamescom, Jorjani suggested that because Grand Theft Auto VI will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Helldivers 2 will have more room to maintain its presence on platforms like Steam. While acknowledging Rockstar Games' significant industry influence and the high production standards of their upcoming title, Jorjani believes the platform limitations will prevent the new release from immediately overshadowing Helldivers 2's community.
