Arrowquip to close livestock equipment manufacturing site in Tamworth

Arrowquip, a global manufacturer of livestock handling equipment, has announced the closure of its manufacturing site in Tamworth, Australia. The company stated the decision is part of a move to consolidate its global manufacturing operations to remain competitive in a changing landscape.

The closure is expected to be permanent within the next four weeks and will impact approximately 15 employees. Arrowquip is reportedly working with affected staff to assist them in finding alternative manufacturing roles.

According to local sources, the facility faced increasing pressures from rising production costs and competition from cheaper imported steel products. Despite the site closure, Global CEO Andrew Firth emphasized that the company remains committed to the Australian market, noting that customers will continue to receive support through customer service teams, parts supply, and warranty coverage.
