Arroyo Marea offers free coastal camping in Chubut
The Arroyo Marea campsite, located within the Bahía Bustamante portal in Chubut, Argentina, provides a free camping experience designed to connect visitors with nature without altering the environment. Situated 80 kilometers south of Camarones, the site offers two distinct areas: a wild sector with sand plots near the sea and a more equipped area featuring grills, tables, and stone walls for wind protection.
Facilities include a covered multipurpose room equipped with light, water, a communal kitchen available from 8:00 to 22:00, and Wi-Fi. The area serves as a significant sanctuary for biodiversity, acting as a resting point for migratory birds such as the double-banded plover from Brazil and the white-rumped sandpiper from Canada. Visitors may also encounter local wildlife, including guanacos, maras, and foxes.
