Arroyo Medrano Park project sparks community debate in Núñez

Residents and organizations are organizing a participatory meeting to discuss the Arroyo Medrano Park project in the Núñez neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The meeting is scheduled for September 4 at the Cooperativa de Trabajo Eternautas headquarters.

The proposal aims to environmentally and aesthetically recover the final stretch of the Medrano stream, which is currently piped underground, and transform its mouth at the Río de la Plata into a public green space. The project, developed by landscape architect Fabio Márquez and environmentalist Antolín Magallanes, seeks to reconnect the city with its historical waterways. It also aims to create a continuous green corridor connecting with the Parque de los Niños and the Ciudad Universitaria-Costanera Norte Ecological Reserve.
