ARS reform proposal under review by regional commissions

A legislative proposal is currently under review by the Institutional Affairs and Health commissions to reorganize the Agenzia Regionale di Sanità (ARS). This reform follows recommendations from the Corte dei conti to align the agency's legal and remunerative framework with national public employment standards.

The proposed structure aims to create a clear separation between political direction and management. It includes the establishment of a President role, responsible for legal representation, budget adoption, and regional relations, with an indemnity capped at 13 percent of the regional president's salary. Additionally, the Director role will be redefined as a technical, managerial position focused on administrative tasks and health coordination, without political representation functions.
