arsEdition and asmodee seal distribution deal for family board games

Starting in early 2026, the French‑owned distributor asmodee will take over the sales of arsEdition’s family board games in specialist toy shops and selected wholesale channels across the German‑speaking market. The partnership allows the century‑old German children’s book publisher, known for high‑quality titles, to focus on game development for ages eight and up while leveraging asmodee’s extensive logistics and market expertise.

Rebecca Roscher, commercial managing director of arsEdition, said the collaboration will enable the publisher to place its games more widely and visibly. Udo Fischer, managing director of asmodee Germany, highlighted the complementary strengths of both companies – arsEdition’s book‑trade heritage paired with asmodee’s experience in board‑game distribution. The arrangement splits responsibilities: asmodee handles retail and toy‑store distribution, while arsEdition continues to serve the book‑trade sector.

The German subsidiary of asmodee is based in Essen and operates throughout Europe, providing the partner with a robust channel to reach families seeking innovative, well‑designed games.
