Arsenal academy players involved in Champions League preparations

Arsenal academy players have been integrated into first-team training sessions ahead of the club’s UEFA Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich. Defender Josh Ogunnaike, who is eligible for Nigeria, participated in Tuesday’s training session as the squad prepares for the match at the Allianz Arena.

In contrast, winger James Scanlon has been ruled ineligible for Champions League selection due to UEFA registration requirements. Although the 20-year-old Gibraltar international has been training with the senior squad following his summer move from Manchester United, he was not included in Arsenal’s 22-player A List. Because he has not completed the required uninterrupted period at the club to qualify for the B List, he cannot participate in the current European campaign.
