Arsenal adds two senior medical staff as pre‑season training begins

Arsenal resumed pre‑season training at London Colney, with 13 senior players and youth prospects joining the squad. New signing Christos Tzoli was already training after completing his pre‑season with Club Brugge, and the club is set to play its first behind‑closed‑doors friendly followed by a public match against Girona.

The training sessions also confirmed the appointment of two new members of the medical and fitness team. Eneko Angulo arrived from Real Betis as head of rehabilitation, while Arnaldo Abrantes joined from Aston Villa as head of medicine and performance, replacing former club doctor Zafar Iqbal. Their presence was captured in photos alongside manager Mikel Arteta during the week’s sessions.
