Arsenal advised to target Marcus Rashford for attacking reinforcement

Former striker Michael Owen has suggested that Arsenal target Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as the club seeks a new left-sided attacker. Following an unsuccessful attempt to sign Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior, Owen proposed that a move for the 28-year-old Rashford, potentially valued at £40 million, would be a logical step for Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Rashford’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain after a season-long loan at Barcelona. While Owen believes Rashford could fit well into Arsenal’s system, he also noted that Manchester United manager Michael Carrick might be able to revive the player's career at Old Trafford.

Despite Arsenal being named favorites to win the Premier League for a second consecutive season, Owen cautioned that the title race is not a foregone conclusion. He cited potential challenges from clubs like Chelsea, Tottenham, and Liverpool, noting that Arsenal's previous points tally suggests they cannot afford significant lapses in form.
