Arsenal and Manchester United eye Sporting CP's Maxi Araújo

Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly considering moves to sign Sporting CP left-back Maxi Araújo. The 26-year-old Uruguayan international, who joined Sporting from Toluca in 2024, has drawn interest due to his versatility as a left-back, wing-back, or winger.

While both Premier League clubs are linked to bids of approximately €65 million, Sporting CP is expected to hold firm on the player's €80 million release clause. The Portuguese club has the player under contract until June 2030 and has previously declined interest from Arsenal.
